Just wanted to give a quick update. Jamie and Jake came to visit us earlier this week. I think we about walked them to death, but it was a good time nonetheless. Plus they got to go to Vegas afterward and rest up. We hit all the usual stops which never seem to get old plus we added a few new stops to the tour. Mt. Tam hike, Alcatraz, which I had never been and Height Ashbury. Which Jules and I hit the next day because I saw a shirt I wanted. By the way, just so you know, never ever under any circumstance go to the Mcdonalds on Height st. ever. Trust me. I didn't get the shirt but I may have gotten hepatitis.
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_cNjwnXRBmY0/SBVCy0zPjbI/AAAAAAAAAOg/gD7_MEmTUrM/s400/cell.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5194131186176200114" />

The rest of our week was pretty uneventful. Jules had pajama day twice at school which made our mornings infinitely easier. His akido class is going really well and this week he got to throw his teacher Al across the mat. Amazing things that does to the 4 yr old ego. This weekend we went to the farmers market, and hiked a trail by our house where we encountered a pond full of newts an handful of small snakes and one huge snake. Jason is still healing from my fingernails in his side. It was pretty huge.
I think we're gonna stay inside this week.
That's about it I guess. I did finish reading swanns way, but that's just a personal achievement. only five more books and 2500 pages left. Whoo Hoo!
I'm trying to get more video of jules to post, but he's on to me so I must devise a craftier plan.

Bad Blogger

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_cNjwnXRBmY0/SARAnsVlbdI/AAAAAAAAAN4/sQbqw7zasfQ/s400/pod.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5189343721298423250" />
Well, it's official. I am a bad bad blogger. I hope everyone is doing well.Things have been kinda crazy around here Jason has switched jobs and is now working for the Morphic group, which is a consulting firm in Boston. No we are not in fact moving back to Boston thank goodness. Jason gets to work from home which is nice for all of us. He likes it alot so far , and I think the work is right up his alley. Right now his only obstacle is Mama kitty jumping on his keyboard all the time. But in all fairness he is the only thing separating her from the window sill so he is kind of asking for it.
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_cNjwnXRBmY0/SARBB8VlbeI/AAAAAAAAAOA/f1m6ksZljKU/s320/light.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5189344172269989346" />

Julien is great. The stress of swim class was to much to bear for him so Jason and I are teaching him and he has moved on to Akido, which he absolutely loves. He gets to perfect all of his ninja tricks and roll on the floor. What more could a little boy ask for. The newest thing is that he is learning Spanish which is great but he is picking it up way faster than me, which leaves me to spend my evenings with his flash cards trying to cath up. Muey importante? Maybe. <img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_cNjwnXRBmY0/SARBg8VlbfI/AAAAAAAAAOI/_T9iH-NwOSg/s320/lion.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5189344704845934066" />

California is still great. We haven't been on many big adventures of late. Well I haven't. Unless you count inner city Oakland, which I completely do. Jason got to go to Vegas a few weeks back with some friends. This past Sunday we took Jules to see his first baseball game. It was so cool to see his face as we walked into the stadium, he was soo excited. Giant vs Cardinals, we beat your butt. You can feel sad about it if you want, I would. The payback was that it was unseasonably warm for San Fran, and we literally baked in the sun. The stadium is right on the bay but there was nary a breeze. But after tickets 8 dollar hot dogs 6 dollar waters and a 12 dollar foam finger we were broke and hot and happy. All worth it.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_cNjwnXRBmY0/SARDx8VlbgI/AAAAAAAAAOQ/Nh6tOsXukI4/s320/water.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5189347195926965762" />

Jaime and Jake are coming this weekend and Jules has been counting down on his calender. It should be a pretty good time. I'll let you know.

Juliens first post

hokt0hombzi] retizsldojmfduichegf7ygydxauuazoooooooooooxi               idusdu ycdvdvjxfkgvndklchecdhfhujudkskkdlosfiei9frfk34fhdfjgkvjitdtvgod7i1jh mjbclvc bhjn jjnbgxh sj vvjbkvcokfihjvmcfiji  ic cjjfhghugnjjfuidyfyhyrfrfyfhngvrfrygfunvtfghvhyfyrfgfvdfvvbgvgvtbdfb6tettbcvfjunnm9thiin,u0hhy9ojn,t,yonj0kmo7oupu9j,mo7i9hhdhdfitjfi7gkitbtkhbihbuj,bkbirirgifvfovgo0pho0firtiupioiuyt-pp0-eo094i9r8uefu88uyuokijbh nixvtirf9vjvbufbghuhhugtyhujjtjgfjllyoltgikitu9hib88uj bbb cvjxnihnuihklh,jko 0v9uvc vi9fijvyfugiitob,5mbtmunubu8ynubuui8rurhyfdvihkgif8ib9t9ihbtkigpibkkiogobikokoikhgobbfdr vkihmjnb ij iubjg jmhnjnb ykjh nngnjtfg,bjhnvkbifgboohgibgokgfioootoooorfogfphk;ogf;fgjtiuy8tthuy8y6ug8tbtgejkib8gjmjiegfr90rjifrjtgjfiijffhrgh

Mid Feb

I can't belive it is the middle of February already. Time is flying by. There hasn't been much going on around here. This past weekend we took Jules to the adventure playground at the Berkely Marina. It's this amazing place where people come and donate old wood and paint and tools and then the kids come in a build forts and ships and whatever else they can think of. Jules had a blast and wanted to keep adding steps to things. Pirate boat? needs a step. Rocking horse? step. We went with our friends Tara and Alex who have two little boys Lyle and Finn who Jules just idolizes.http://www.ci.berkeley.ca.us/ContentDisplay.aspx?id=8656
This past satuerday I went into the city to see the comic Janeane Garofolo at Cobbs comedy club. ILOVE Janeane and it had been quite awhile since i was treated to a full on conservative right-wing republican smack down. It was just what I needed. Jason is still sick and drug himself through the week. Julien and I went into SF today to visit his new office. Jules was bummed that there was no dog but stoked that they have Guitar Hero hooked up to giant amps.

Also on the news front. Jaime and Jake are headed our way in April, all the way from Des Moines. I'm soooo excited. we are only going to have three days here before heading to Vegas but San Francisco is gonna kick Vegas's butt in awesomeness. Rumor also has it that Debby and Liz may try to make it out the summer as well. I solemly swear I will not let anyone get their head bashed.

Hey everyone!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_cNjwnXRBmY0/R6agCPyvN0I/AAAAAAAAANI/rNqeHxg69Y8/s400/20071117-120110.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5162989983286376258" />
Well my new years resolution was to get more consistent with the blogging and keeping in touch with everyone. So far I have failed miserably. Better late than never I say. So much has happened since last I typed, Jon and Kathleen came and visited, which was awesome but it feels like it was ages ago already. We have gone on a couple of trips. One to lake Tahoe,and the other, home for Christmas. Jason has started a new Job in the city that he really likes, and Julien has started three day preschool to get him ready for kindergarten in the fall "SIGH". In between these things we have taken turns being sick. Julien just got over pink eye, and I still have some mutant form of a sinus infection that has plagued me since before Christmas. Jason had fought off our germs long and hard but finally succumbed last week with a cough and sore throat.

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_cNjwnXRBmY0/R6ah1_yvN1I/AAAAAAAAANQ/1hWcmoy2x2U/s320/mallory.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5162991971856234322" />

Our trip home was a success for the most part. Julien had a blast and got soo many toys for Christmas. He is one by one taking them to show and tell and retelling his trip home story. The only part that really sucked was that we didn't get to see and spend time with everyone we wanted to. It being the holidays made everything a bit more rushed and hectic, and it just didn't seem like we had enough time to do everything we wanted to do.

Jules is in a swimming class. The only problem is that he only wants to swim with the lady instructors, this does not bode well for Eric his actual teacher. Eric is about 15 and darts panicked glances at J and I as Jules refuses to set foot in the water until Talia, Jules's fave lady comes by. It's a process. <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_cNjwnXRBmY0/R6aj9fyvN2I/AAAAAAAAANY/W7TCYpRXrpY/s320/swim.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5162994299728508770" />

Jason's new job is going really well. He has to commute into the city a few times a week which sucks sometimes but he get to work from home a couple days a week too, which is nice. He gets to get his hands into code again, which makes him smile, so I'm happy.

I have been sick steadily since before Christmas and of no real use to anyone, but I have started indoor rock climbing with my friend Dorothy. I am terrified of heights, so the first 3story climb and subsequent repell was nothing short of terrifying. But also soo much fun. We'll see, I'm thinking Everest in the spring.

I hope everyone is well, even though we just saw alot of you, we are all homesick already. It is my February 4th resolution , I will keep in better touch.

Happy Birthday

I think he had a pretty good time. I hope so. It was nice having him here. Last I heard he had arrived in L.A. but he has probably moved on by now. He stays busy that one. We covered a lot of ground while he was here. He went to his interview at the art institute, and I think it went fairly well. We saw the Mission district which brought about a few interesting points. One was that I found a parking space with no meter on the street anywhere in San Francisco. Two was the Pirate store full of trap doors and drawers full of such items as tar and feathers, plastic eyeballs, and fake mutton chop appliques. And three the fact that every store we went into had a large jar of liquid labeled simply "SEASONING", OK then.

We also saw the Castro http://www.castroonline.com/. Which I hadn't really gotten to check out. we missed a few must sees like the redwoods and china town but I felt like it was a pretty fair trade. Shumai VS churro if you will. Either way you win.

The past couple of weeks have also brought such events as my parents 41st anniversary. yea them! Also was my sister Shannon's 31st birthday. Is that right? Man she is soo old! Who knew. And here I am so youthful, hmmm. It feels awful to be away on special occasions but I am comforted with the proven knowledge that if I send anyone a gift they will receive it with love from the USPS in a month max. and what is a month between fiends and loved ones really?

Jules had his "real" 4th birthday. The kids in his playschool class sang happy birthday and he got a big boy bike,which he took to like a fish to water. Hasn't quite mastered stopping, but his going is flawless and passionate. He really loved having Peter here, although he did abuse the fact that Peter liked to draw, And commissioned him for many works for his private collection. Plus Peter has a magic pencil, and what's cooler than that!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JON and JASON!!!!

Only one day late, not too shabby. Jules wanted to bake a cake today for the big day, so we did. Strawberry with rainbow icing. pretty tasty.

Jon and Kathleen are coming to visit in a week or two. We are all pretty excited. Jules is sure the cake will last until they get here, but I have my doubts. Our friend Michael was in town. He works for the Science Center and was touring the exhibits in the area. We didn't get a whole lot of time together but we did get to walk on the bridge (soo cold), and see China Town,Union Square and a bit of downtown. Jason and Michael went to the redwoods, but Jules was at school, which he loves by the way, so we missed out. We also got to see the sun set over the ocean for the first time, which was completely amazing. Up where we are we have only seen it set into the cliffs and it is completely different seeing it set into the water. It was great to see Michael, and he and I took a thousand pictures between us I'm sure. I've been here nine month es and I still look like a tourist. Owell. Jason is currently working fervently to solve my photo storage crisis.

Michael did not come alone, he came baring gifts in the form of a stuffed robot. Made with love by Jamie and hand delivered 12 hundred miles by Michael, the robot was immediately named Rita. Rita the robot has been a welcome addition to the Hanson home seeing as a few weeks back Jules had insisted on being called Rita himself. Thanks to good friends and transference we now have Rita the robot who Jules loves to dance with and take along everywhere, but who is not allowed in the bed because he says she tickles his feet while he sleeps.

Micheal is safe and sound back home. And we give much love and thanks for Rita and the visit.

Our newest guest is Peter. He got in town last night and although I got his airline wrong and showed up at the wrong terminal only to have to walk a mile to the correct destination, we are happy he is here. We haven't gotten to do a whole lot so far, his flight gt in pretty late so we got to see ocean beach and tried to grab a meal in Japan town on a Saturday night with no reservation. http://www.sfjapantown.org/by the time we finally got to eat (around 9pm) we were all pretty sleepy, so we just headed home. Today Crackle had a party for the company kids since all prior get togeathers had been adults only. The party was in the Presidio http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Presidio_of_San_Francisco and there were pony rides and a sundae bar and cotton candy and everything else you could want as a kid. Jules had a great time, although I think Peter got kinda bored.

Not to worry, he has quite a busy week. Besides all the normal stops to make he also has quite a few interviews with grad schools and a trip to L.A to make. I think he'll be wishing for pony rides by the end of the week. He did get to meet the work fam who are always a good time. I'm looking forward to the week ahead and happy that we live in a place that folks want to come and visit. Now if I just convince the rest of you to come. A few more pictures should do it.

Julien Video

Busy, Busy, Busy

Man, I can't believe it's been 6 weeks since my last post. We have been staying busy to say the least. Our trip home was mostly a success with the exception of one root canal. Jules had a blast at his birthday party, it was so nice of everyone to come and play, although he is a bit confused as to whether he is three or four. Depending on the day he will tell you either. Nothing a little therapy won't fix. All of his new toys made it home safely and are now being sufficiently abused. Jules bought a new robot with his birthday money, his name is Gadunka and he is not to be crossed. They both look pretty menacing, don't you think?

Since being home things have been as busy as ever. Thankfully in a good way. The weekend after we got back we drove up the coast to point Reyes National seashore and went to the lighthouse.It was pretty cool, except for the 30 story walk back up the stairs with a forty pound boy on my hip. Man, I'm such a machine. http://www.ptreyeslight.com/lthouse.html

For the holiday weekend we headed to the beach where Julien found his passion for rock climbing (awesome!)

I've posted a bunch of new pictures on Flickr. I think since coming here I have taken nearly five thousand pictures. Now before you pass judgement, ask yourself this. How many pictures would I take if in the span of 8 months I had seen the ocean, redwoods, mountains, vineyards, city and a naked Elvis with a 12 piece mariachi band? Probably five thousand. http://www.flickr.com/photos/lisahanson/

YAY Jason!!

I'm pleased to report that Jason just got a promotion at work to Development Manager for Crackle, which used to be Grouper which is really Sony Pictures, You all keeping up? Well, I'm so so proud of him.

Last week was the Crackle Launch party. Julien stayed home with a cutie babysitter named Alexis, who he totally charmed of course, and J and I headed into the city. There was a photo booth and we hammed it up a bit. The party was pretty sweet, I got to meet all the co-workers and had a Tarot reading. Jason stayed as far away from the Tarot lady as he could, just glancing over at me occasionally and shaking his head in worry. But all was well, and Jason was thrilled at the news of 5 kids in our future. Just kidding!

              I wanted to take pictures but A. my new adorable tiny baby camera hadn't come in the mail yet and I had my bitsy party purse that could not accommodate the beast that is my Nikon. And B. The club had like one blue light on and about twenty candles. It was soo dark. We had a really nice time and everyone was raving about what a great job Jason is doing and that was of course very cool to hear. YAY Jason!

                        In other completely unrelated news. We are officially headed home. The tickets are bought and accommodations made (Thanks Jon!). We will be home from the 15th of August to the 22nd. We are going to have an early Birthday party for Jules on Sunday the 19th at Debby's house. I hope everyone can come. It's kind of a bummer to have to do it early, but he has been talking about his birthday party pretty much since his last one, so whats a girl to do. Plus it's a great excuse to get to see everyone and have cake. Mostly I really Love cake. The theme is Star Wars. Jules has been walking around for day's using his sword as a walking stick pretending to be Yoda. The voice is the clincher, so cute. So be prepared to battle. Does anyone know where I can find a Darth Vader cake?

Marin Fair

This weekend was quite action packed. Friday Jules and Jason had boys night that started early when I dropped Jules of at J's work. Jules loves going t the office, and I don't think the folks at the office mind too much either. I was invited to go to the human rights concert at UC Berkeley and needed to get an early start. The fellas went to creek side Friday nights at the park by our apartment. There is live music and food and tons of kids. Jules had a blast I am told and met snuggles the dog, whose charm apparently left quite the lasting impression. http://www.tcsd.us/parks/creedfrnts.html

The concert at Berkeley was great. It was hosted by Margeret Cho who is hilarious. Performers included the Dresden Dolls, Debby Harry, Erasure, and Cindy Lauper who was awesome and adorable. The show was so much fun, I went with my friend Andrea and some of her friends from Rohnert Park which is just north of us. They were really fun and it was nice to have a ladies night ,which I totally needed. http://www.hrc.org/truecolors/

Sunday we went out for breakfast and then hit the Marin county Fair. We had a really great time. There is a flat entry fee and then you can ride as many rides and see as many shows as you want. We saw the sea lion show and walked through some of the hundreds of vendor tents before entering into the ride area that was where the fun was really to be had. To my surprise there were tons of rides for tots at least 36 inches tall. You'll all be happy to know that Jules is a towering 38 inches, so he pretty much had free roam. He was big enough to go on several rides by himself which was empowering for him, and I only cried for like an instant, not even an instant. A slight moment.

After dark there was a fireworks show that Julien mostly enjoyed because it was set to the star wars soundtrack. It was especially nice because all things considered there were not that many people and it felt very relaxed. After the show we told Jules he could pick one more ride before we headed home. He picked the train roller coaster and he and I talked about what a great day we had had. His favorite part was petting the cows in the 4H area even though he is highly allergic to hay and is now, as I type, on the couch with a runny nose and itchy eyes. Violent reactions aside, we had a really great weekend that almost distracted us from thinking about the fact that we are not home this week like we planned. We are used to the much smaller parade in St. Louis, and were amazed at the shear magnitude and size of this one. One could have guessed it would be massive, but I didn't expect the city to practically shut down for half a day. It was pretty crazy.

    At first Jules was disappointed because there was no spider man balloon. But after the thousand or so motorcycles and the "sparkly ladies" as he calls the drag queens, he took right to it. We got him a rainbow flag that he had been wanting which he in no time fashioning into a laser shooting device of destruction. So everyone thought he was pretty much the cutest thing ever. I think he got videoed and photographed more that most of the floats.

      We stood on our little corner for three hours watching the parade before we knew it . Jules was ready to move . We walked around town for a bit and got some lunch. The whole financial district seemed to be shut down. no cars just tons of characters. We headed to the area where tents and vendors had set up. But there were hundreds of thousands of people, so we decided to call it a day.

    Julien got tons of stickers and candy, And everyone was really nice to him, stopping to say hi or letting him pet their dogs. I expected a bit more spectacle, but was pleased everyone was so kid friendly. Julien just thought the naked people were silly. I think the Bay to breakers crowd was a bit more rowdy. Check out some more pictures on flicker.

Although it was a good time, it made me homesick for our street and home and our old traditions. It was action packed to say the least. We felt bad because their first day here it was freezing. I think Debby was scarred, we had a hard time keeping her out of two coats all week. Even when the temp raised. Everything was going really well, they got in on Friday and by Monday we had seen Sausalito, taken the ferry into the city, gone to pier 39 to see the sea lions, seen Fisherman's wharf, walked through Muir Woods, picnicked on Stinson beach, driven into see Chinatown and rode a cable car. Whew, breath. And then it happened.....

       Tuesday morning Debby and Liz went out bike riding. And Debby fell. It was awful, she completely bashed up her cheek and had a gleaming black eye. There was blood and swelling and pain and I felt horrible having suggested that Mill Valley is a perfectly lovely place to bike ride and sending them unaccompanied on an outing of terror.

      Debby was a trooper and after discerning that she did not have a concussion, we decided to stay in Tuesday and take it easy. Wednesday we were back on track, no pun intended. Jason had to work, but Jules an I took the ladies to walk across golden Gate Bridge and then to the Bay area Discovery Museum where Jules got his play on.

      I was a bit nervous the next day when Debbie and Liz headed off to Alcatraz on their own. But it's not the most kid friendly place and I think they were getting tired of me. so off they went and all was well. They took tons of pictures and even navigated San Francisco's complecated public transit on their own. Fri we went to see the Marin county civic center which was designed by Frank Loyd Wright and is about ten minutes from our place. I take Jules there for the farmers market and to play on the playground, but had never been inside. We tried to hit the beach but the fog was heavy and Debby's two coats were failing her so we weren't there long.

That night we had babysitters so Jason and I got to go out. Ahhh going out, I had forgotten how nice it is to have an uninterrupted adult conversation. No really, I had completely forgotten. But after the first hour I stopped wiping his face and cutting his food and we had a really nice time. We went to Fairfax, about 15 mins away and decided that that is where all the hippies live.

         And the difference between organic dry cleaning and Eco-friendly dry cleaning is? anyone, anyone?? Me neither.

Saturday was awesome! We took the scenic coastal drive down to the Montery Bay Aquarium and stopped at a light house on the way down . The aquarium was really amazing and I think everyone had a nice time. I mostly liked the drive down. Sooo many beautiful things. Jules loved the penguins and was disappointed when learned he could not pet any of the sharks. total bummer.
        On the way back we stopped in San Jose "Silicon Valley" to see Debby's godson Will and his wife Sara, who just moved to town in January. Jason grew up with Will and his sisters and it was nice to see some friendly faces in the same boat as us. New to the area and trying to figure out all the California rules. Julien chased their cats and ate their cupcakes and could not have had a better time.

       Sunday, was leaving day. Jules had really gotten used to Lizzy reading his bedtime stories and Debby fixing his bathes and all the attention and love. Jason got used to having his little sister around to abuse and I got used to the company and the kitchen gnome that did all my dishes as I slept. Damn I miss that gnome. But all is well, our first guests were a success I think, minus one bashed face. We have been successful tourists in our own town. Good times.

We are officially prepared for the rest of you. Bring it on. I went to the Bay to Breakers race which is a foot race from the bay to the ocean, about 8 miles or so. First of all it starts at like 8am, so I had to be on the ferry by 6:45. No big deal except the strangeness of the people on the ferry with me. An oompa loompa, a spongebob with no pants and more wigs and glitter than you can shake a stick at.

I get to the starting line and see that there are indeed legit runners prepared to race, but behind those 20 people lay a sea of wonder. Every race, color, species, size, shape, Sexual origin. Ready to run, ready to drink. Some carried their libations in mere cans and bottles while others rigged up great wondrous drinking tables on wheels. Disguised kegs in carts dressed up as go karts or small children.

I decided to go along with the crowd, and made it about 5 miles. Not running, just walking very slowly. I made up to Alamo Square which I had been meaning to do. But I digress, Such a crazy good time. Everyone was in great spirits, and I took 400 pictures, some of which are on flicker, which you can get to by following the my photos link.

Now Flicker doesn't allow nudity, so your going to have to do without the naked Elvis, or the plethora of 60+ men letting it all ahem, hang out. So be it. I made it as far as Golden Gate Park before crashing out and needing water. SO I packed myself up and headed back to reality. 5 miles back....Damn! Maybe one of these guys will help.

At Last

So Jules and I have been home for over a week now, and yet no blog. WHERE IS IT! you all have been asking yourselves. Gnashing your teeth and refreshing your screens every five minutes. OK perhaps by everyone I mean my mother. Well Jules has had strep throat and I am still unpacked, but a quick recap of our trip I can manage.

It all started nice enough, Jason took us to the airport and Jules ate a muffin the size of his head, see above photo. Then came the nightmare flight home. Canceled flights, lost planes, delayed flights, broken planes, + 35lb toddler+1 stroller+2backpacks+2 bags + 12 hours of utter chaos= us sad and pathetic sitting on the sidewalk at Lambert at 1am car less because the rental place closed at midnight.
One call to mommy and one abusively angry e-mail to American Airlines later. All was looking up. Jules and I spent our first couple days with my fam, where my dad had made up a lovely room for us. We had lunch with my cousin Lola "who buried the tot in toys", and my aunt Sandy who tossed him from one side of the room to the other playing. before going to see Jami and the kids on Friday. Jules was so stoked to see Jordan. They played and fought like no time had passed at all.

Friday night we headed to Jon's which was awesome, everyone looked good and Jules got to rock out with Jason and Jon before an intergalactic shootout of epic proportions.The Weekend was great, We were staying with Debbie and Lizzy by then and all Jasons brothers and fams came over Sunday for taco's and such. We went to Modesto for food, wine ,catching up and a much needed night out before the much dreaded trip home. Good times.

Wednesday we got to spend a nice morning with my folks where Jules got to play ball with his mawmaw and video games with pawpaw. Then the trip home. Luckily we didn't have any issues, and made it home with no problems, wheeew. Well except all the gifts that Julien got which turned my 50lbs of luggage into 75lbs of robotic luggage that then spoke when I bumped it on my leg every ten minutes or so. Thanks guys.

All and all, pretty good trip. So good to see everybody. Sad to say goodbye again. I got sunburned, again. sooo many sunburns. Jules wore sweatpants which quickly weighed about twenty pounds after his full speed assault on the 50 degree ocean. It never stood a chance. After convincing him that no Muir Beach was not a nude beach, I got him into some sensible shorts and fun in the sun ensued.

Wednesday night I "Lisa" went into San Fran to see the Decemberists. No pictures because there were no cameras allowed. Which is a shame because while walking around SOMA pre show I saw a woman in a prom gown pushing a massively ginormous grey cat in a baby stroller. And to be honest a picture would have done much more justice than my description. Nonetheless, awesome show. http://www.myspace.com/thedecemberists

Angel Island

DSC_0075-Edit, originally uploaded by lisahansontoo.

	Last weekend we went to Angel Island, Lisa almost died but other than that, good times.
